When I left school I went straight into a retail job working up to commercial management role for 18 years. I learnt a variety of skills throughout my progression and a huge proportion of my job role was coaching and developing people. I really enjoyed this side of my job, however in 2020 I was expecting my first child and I needed a new challenge.
From when I first passed my driving test I have always remembered my driving instructor and how great she made me feel and always thought “what an amazing job that must be”. In 2020 during the restrictions, furlough and time to really think about life I took the leap and gave it a go. I must say it was the best decision ever and I love my job.
The team at Chilled were very helpful, answered any questions about the job and started me in the right direction as a PDI. They are always at the end of the phone to give you hands on feedback and coaching.
I also love the fact I’m the only chilled instructor currently in the Ipswich/Felixstowe/Woodbridge area and getting that chance to promote and hopefully in the future expand the chilled brand in Suffolk.
I really enjoy meeting new people and working with pupils to develop their driving skills to make pupils safe and knowledgeable on the road.
